About 2 years ago my aunt found out she had cancer in her lung. For the first time I saw her as a precious little lady. I just wanted to pick her up and squeeze her as hard as I could and take it all away. What I mean by that is this is an aunt that would never show when she was hurt, down, sad, or mad. Even when she had a lot of big trials happen with her children. We are not perfect but I can say she steadily serves God to the fullest. Now In her condition I think she needs to stop and take care of her self but... You can't tell someone to stop going out soul winning who has been doing it for more then 30+ years.
I could see it in her eyes when I picked her up to come to our Missions Conferance in October. A look of unsurity. At the same time I knew that she knew it is all in God's hands. I know my mom was worried and we all were but she just had the peace of God on her. I am so thankful for the many prayers from our friends and my friends who did not even know her. The power of a prayer chain is so special. When she was getting her biopsy done( which she said was so horribly painful) she knew if it were not for the prayers she would not be able to lay there and endure it.
Everytime we talked she would say just praise the Lord for something. Her surgery went well , they took 2/3 of her lung out. She is still healing and of course we have to wait for her yearly check up to see if it has come back. We get to have our aunt a bit longer.
