"Oh Mother"
Mothers day has come and went but I have been thinking about it still. I received a lovely journal that I had hinted at. It was to replace the cards the kids would get. They even drew something and my hunny wrote their name and date. He even addded a picture. I truly am spoiled. My husband cooked dinner almost everyday last week. I think I am getting used to that.
As I sat in the ladies banquet and in church on Sunday I saw all the young ladies attending church without moms and noticed the single moms sitting there looking for something, maybe nothing. I thought how wonderful that 28 moms rode the church bus this day, 6 drove in. Then 6 mothers accepted Jesus as their savior and 2 got baptized!
I praise the Lord for my mom, mom-in-law, and bonus mom. They are hard working moms, they work through illnesses and pain. They pray and encourage us all the time. Happy Mothers day!

Goodbye Oakland
Seaside Baptist Church. Oakland,ca 2013 |
I am always behind my husband and this time it was a bit different. It was harder to say ok. I prayed and asked God to help me be his helpmeet now more then ever. He was ready and I was not. I believe this was a test for me. It wasn't about what others would say about us, it was more about me thinking I was not ready to move on. God knew, there were many trials there for me,many health ones. I think He had given what I could handle.
We did what God wanted and now it is time to do the next chapter. I cannot keep looking and dwelling on the past and the what ifs. Oakland was pretty tough and at times even scary. We met many new friends and God did use us many times. At the end of our journey as would drive or go to the park I thought,"They did not deny The Robinson Family and Seaside Baptist Church, they denied you Lord".
